The shallow Santa Maria Caves or Camino Caves are some of the most fascinating cave systems in the world, located at the north side of Camino. This beautiful dive site can become quite crowded - especially in summer - due to its immense popularity with visitors to the Maltese Islands. It is a dive site that reaches maximum 18 meters and offers 1 hour of changing scenery. Big (open) tunnels with beautiful clear waters offer various ways for discovering. The tunnels are all wide and relaxing and can be reached within the same dive. Outside the caves there are big boulders harboring octopus and sometimes a rare langoustine!
